The Hive Marketplace is a collaborative showroom. The 1st and only one to offer such a concept in Mauritius. A showroom because it will showcase brands, trends and talent, and we are delighted and proud to have with us 36 small and medium-sized businesses operating in the interior design sector in Mauritius. Collaborative because it offers all the necessary infrastructures to enable our specialists, professionals and artists to meet their customers on site but also to interact and collaborate. Finally, we are planning a sales area where visitors will be able to find the final touch to their designs,” explains Christopher Rogers, Managing Director of The Hive Marketplace;

A collaboration with the team at Jugaad, an architecture and placemaking agency, has resulted in the creation of this extraordinary destination showcasing a wide selection of top-of-the-range products displayed in six immersive spaces. The spaces, which represent the rooms of the home, were inspired by six interior designers in collaboration with local suppliers, artists and designers; The aim? Mixing styles to create a happy, harmonious melting pot. At the back of the showroom, a mathériautèque offers these professionals all the facilities they need to collaborate and carry out their projects. Directly connected to a meeting room, this room houses a collection of samples, catalogues, portfolios and business cards from suppliers, interior designers and artists;

The aim behind this collaborative showroom is to showcase the quality of Mauritian talent and local skills. A real showcase for suppliers to the home sector, The Hive marketplace is above all a godsend for talented and passionate artists who want to be in the spotlight;

Reinventing retail is also a way for customers to project themselves into the design of their homes. Thanks to predefined spaces, they can choose directly from the products on display to create the layout that matches their desires, with the option of being put in touch with a designer for made-to-measure projects.
