Growing up in Mauritius, the sea became a second home for founder and designer Harriet Batchelor. Her distinctive pieces reflect the grandeur of the ocean and beyond, fusing artistic silhouettes with genuine shells and oceanic accents found on the island’s breathtaking shores. These one-of-a-kind features are what truly set Oceano apart from other pearl jewelry brands. Harriet’s experience of restoring works of art in Europe is evident in every creation; Harriet’s background in European art restoration shines through each design. Raised in a family of artists, Harriet pursued her passion by studying in France and Italy for several years, eventually honing her skills in jewelry making while working on art restoration projects in Paris and Rome.

The brand takes great pride in their commitment to craftsmanship by using only the highest quality materials. Every piece is carefully handmade in their South Mauritius workshop, using genuine ethically sourced pearls and gemstones, sterling silver, 18k gold and gold vermeil.
